About The Position

SAP EWM Support Consultant – Job Description The Junior SAP EWM Support Consultant will join a collaborative and customer-focused team within DXC, supporting the daily operations of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system. This role is designed for individuals with minimal SAP EWM experience who are eager to learn, grow, and develop hands-on skills in a real operational environment. You will assist with incident resolution, basic troubleshooting, system monitoring, documentation, and end-user support. Working closely with senior consultants, you will gradually build knowledge of SAP EWM processes, configuration, and warehouse operations. This role offers a strong foundation for a future career in SAP functional consulting. Key Responsibilities System & Operational Support • Assist in resolving user-reported issues and supporting SAP EWM tickets. • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate more complex issues to senior consultants. • Help monitor key EWM processes to support smooth warehouse operations. • Provide simple guidance to users on system navigation and basic EWM transactions. Configuration Support • Assist with basic configuration tasks under supervision (e.g., master data adjustments, simple customizing updates). • Help review system behavior after changes and document results. • Support senior consultants in validating EWM and ERP data consistency and integrations. Testing & Quality Assurance • Support the preparation and execution of test cases for fixes, enhancements, and upgrades. • Participate in integration and regression testing activities. • Document findings and escalate issues to the functional team. Documentation & Training Assistance • Update documentation such as user guides, troubleshooting notes, and process instructions. • Record incident resolutions and contribute to team knowledge-base materials. • Assist in preparing training decks or walkthrough materials for end users. Collaboration & Continuous Learning • Work alongside warehouse operations teams, business users, and senior SAP consultants. • Learn SAP EWM best practices for inbound, outbound, and internal warehouse processes. • Participate in small improvement initiatives and provide suggestions based on recurring issues. • Commit to continual learning through training, mentoring, and on-the-job experience. Primary Skills and Qualifications Ideal for candidates with minimal SAP experience or those transitioning into SAP career. • Basic understanding of SAP EWM concepts (training, bootcamp, certification, or academic exposure accepted). • Familiarity with warehouse operations such as receiving, picking, packing, or inventory movements is an advantage. • Strong willingness to learn SAP configuration, data flows, and warehouse processes. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical teams and end users. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. • Experience with warehouse devices (RF scanners, mobile applications) is beneficial but not required. Requirements
