Job Title : SAP Analyst Reporting To: Director, SAP Tech. & Solutions Work Schedule: Fully Remote or Hybrid if Local – Buffalo, NY Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for an SAP Analyst to join our Enterprise Solutions Team. In this role, will be involved in the software development lifecycle to develop and deploy an audit framework for SAP. You will play a crucial role in driving effective communication, managing audit documentation, and establishing a comprehensive work plan between the Moog SAP security team and the internal audit team. You will work closely with the Chief Enterprise Architect to implement best practices and deliver essential support. In this position, you will evaluate the effectiveness of controls in SAP and ensure compliance of SAP systems. You will collaborate proactively with IT, SAP functional and technical teams, and business process owners to enhance the overall control environment and ensure SAP processes operate reliably in full alignment with internal and external regulations. Requirements

  • Typically, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in technology or related fields.
  • Over one (1) year of SAP S/4 experience, with at least one life cycle implementation in SAP S/4.
  • Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA either as functional, data or security analyst.
  • Excellent soft skills with focus on building relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • High attention to detail and rigor in documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to any SAP module (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP Business Suite).
  • Any relevant professional certification or coursework in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary SAP contact for internal audit teams, providing information and support during audit engagements.
  • Assess the design and operating effectiveness of SAP controls, including user access, segregation of duties (SoD), change management, and configuration controls.
  • Support internal and external audit requests related to SAP, providing evidence, walkthroughs, and explanations of processes and controls.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of IT and financial audits within the SAP landscape, focusing on general IT controls, application controls, and Segregation of Duties (SoD).
  • Document audit procedures, findings, and remediation plans in a clear, structured way.
  • Support assessments of SAP systems to ensure adherence to regulations and corporate policies.
  • Work closely with MOOG Internal audit team to gather S4/Hana SOX controls and documents and define the SAP team internal framework.
  • Review SOX ITGC program that defines the effort, controls, owners, and expectations and set up agenda, recurring meets to address the program efforts.
  • Provides regular updates on assignment outcomes and performs ongoing monitoring of key risks & findings within assigned responsibilities.
  • Create and maintain documentation for SAP controls, including process flows, narratives, and control matrices.
  • Prepare and present audit conclusions and operational risk reports to SAP Security Architect.
  • Assist in documenting and tracking identified audit findings, deficiencies, and control gaps, and monitor the status of management remediation efforts.
  • Gain familiarity with relevant compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR, internal policies) as they relate to the SAP environment.
  • Work collaboratively with internal audit team members, IT stakeholders, and business process owners to understand system processes and control environments
