The Sanitation Associate/Sanitor position, within the Sanitation Department, reports to the Sanitation Manager. This role requires constant alertness and immediate reaction to changing situations, involving tasks such as changing batteries, handling chemicals, lifting over 50lbs, performing lockout/tag out procedures, and working in confined spaces. The job encompasses a wide range of duties including observing and complying with GMPs, managing incoming ingredients and materials, operating a corrugated baler, and maintaining various facility areas like offices, break areas, and restrooms. Essential duties also include sanitizing large industrial equipment, preventing and correcting contamination issues, confirming invoices, daily disposal of trash and waste, monitoring and disposing of pests and rodents, and adhering to all safety rules and regulations. The Sanitor is expected to recognize and initiate corrective actions for cleaning, pest control, and maintenance problems to enhance product quality, food safety, and bakery efficiency.
