About The Position

Sanitation Worker (2nd shift) Position Summary: Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00pm- 11:30pm 100% on-site Greendale is one of two gummy technology development and manufacturing facilities in North America. The site has the capability to manufacture traditional gelatin gummies as well as 100% plant-based pectin gummies for nutritional supplements and nutraceuticals. With extensive development and manufacturing expertise and a wide range of flavors, shapes, sizes, and colors available, we can work with complex ingredients to help create engaging new products consumers will love. Catalent Pharma Solutions in Greendale, IN is hiring a Sanitation Worker. The position will complete the cleaning and sanitation of the production equipment and facility to maintain them in a clean and sanitary state. This person will perform cleaning and sanitation duties according to Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures and Master Sanitation Schedule. Carries out specific instructions from Sanitation Supervisor or designated Sanitation Lead in accordance with the daily production schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required

Responsibilities

  • Complete day-to-day cleaning and sanitation work duties.
  • Duties include cleaning and sanitizing all production machinery and equipment throughout plant including conveyor belts, screens, filters, kettles, pipes, walls, floors totes, sanding/ oiling drum, tables, and facility housekeeping including plant exterior, and ensure proper cleaning procedures are followed.
  • Handle chemicals used in the process of cleaning and sanitation by following safety pre-cautions.
  • Complete the removal and disposal of waste and recycling in an effective manner.
  • Document cleaning and sanitation activities records.
  • Able to prioritize cleaning and sanitation duties to support production needs.
  • Using ATP bioluminescence device to verify cleaning and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot root cause of cleaning and sanitation failures and work on problem solving.
  • Observe and follow safety procedures.
  • Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOP) Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP); Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining facility and equipment in a clean and sanitary state.
  • Participate in all necessary training is required to successfully perform job responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.
