About The Position

Summary:  Experienced sanitation professional with 3+ years of plant sanitation and equipment cleaning. Skilled in operating industrial machinery, leading large-scale cleaning projects, and ensuringpliance with food safety and workplace safety standards. Known for strong teamwork, attention to detail, andmitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. Function Of The Position: Perform sanitation duties across plant areas and equipment, including refuse removal. Operate machinery such as floor scrubbers, high-pressure washers, wash cabinets, cop tanks, walkers, walker stackers, electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and forklifts (stand-up and sit-down). Utilize tools including brooms, brushes, spray bottles, mops, squeegees, water guns, air guns, and vacuums. Apply industrial-strength cleaners, degreasers, and sanitizers; assemble and disassemble equipment for thorough cleaning. Lead major cleaning projects (e.g., allergen/kosher cleaning, caustic boils, Cold Jet deep dives). Train team members on occupational hazards and safe work practices. Maintain accurate sanitation logs and records. Ensurepliance with GMP, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/fraud, and regulatory requirements. Report food safety and quality issues promptly to management. Support safety culture by practicing safe behaviors, reporting hazards, and conducting safety observations.

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: 1-3 years of sanitation or equivalent work experience.
  • Licenses: Level III Power Equipment License (JBSS issued).
  • Skills: Strong manual dexterity and vision
  • Proficient in safe use of Cold Jet equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaners, degreasers, and sanitizers
  • Basic math skills
