About The Position

As a part of the Utility - Sanitation team, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of both processing and non-processing equipment within the bakery and on the property. This could include but is not limited to windows, ceilings, restroom, breakroom, wash racks, cleaning equipment, lights, mixers, ovens, pans, etc. Your action in this role will ensure product safety. You must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, be able to communicate and work effectively in a team structure and be flexible in work assignments within the utility category. You must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, safely and accurately complete assigned duties and maintain GMP standards. You will also be a part of the Food Defense Team. Location: Columbus, GA Manufacturing Plant Work Arrangements: 100% on-site, 3rd Shift 9pm-5:30am Compensation Base Rate: $20.13 an hour ( plus an additional .50 shift differential for the night shift)

Requirements

• Ability to work night shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Nice To Haves

• Previous safety training preferred.
• Prior food industry experience a plus.
• Familiarity with bakery equipment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, lights, walls, windows, ceilings, restrooms, break room, wash rack, equipment, e.g., mixer, oven, hand truck, in various areas of the plant.
• Spot paint various areas within the plant.
• Communicate with production staff regarding problems and cleaning frequency.
• Clean processing and non-processing equipment, e.g., coolers, oven, etc.
• Clean grounds, e.g., snow removal, weeds, tree trimming, police grounds, etc.
• Dismantle machinery
• Discard waste and/or trash.
• Resolve insect problems.
• May perform other duties not listed.
