Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience working in sanitation, ideally with food or involving mechanical equipment is preferred.
  • Conscientious & Detail Oriented - Pays attention and strives to meet quality standards through meticulous cleaning, proper chemical mixing, and thorough sanitation procedures.
  • Strong Work Ethic and Reliability - Demonstrates dependability during overnight shifts and consistently completes tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team Player - Builds trusting relationships with team members while contributing to a collaborative workplace that values neighborly, respectful interactions.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, or walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly bend and lift up to 50 lbs. and/or 25 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Regularly required to visually observe objects up close and at a distance.
  • Regularly requires hands to handle or feel and finger dexterity.
  • Exposure to a variety of food facility cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work in 38° Fahrenheit temperature and wet environment.
  • Regularly required to use oral communication skills.
  • Learn and apply new information or skills.
  • Regularly required to demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy when interacting with the team
  • Ability to visually discern quality and cleanliness and follow food/workplace safety requirements.
  • Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing plant and office environment.
  • English is the primary language; training materials are written in English. For individuals who do not speak English as their primary language, translation will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize processing utensils, equipment, and interiors of production areas.
  • Disassemble, clean, and sanitize any required equipment using established procedures.
  • Operate cleaning and sanitizing equipment to ensure cleanliness of equipment and work areas. This includes the use of foamers, pressure washer and hoses, walk behind floor scrubber, etc.
  • Mix and/or use chemicals of proper concentrations to ensure effective cleaning/sanitizing of equipment and areas.
  • Clean common areas, restrooms, and dressing rooms.
  • Empty waste bins/ barrels and transport trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Follow quality management standards, policies, and procedures.
