This key position is to provide GNC with a solid structural team mate having a complete knowledge of detailed cleaning. Sanitation experience preferred. The person chosen for this position will be thoroughly trained in the Standard Sanitation Operation Procedures or SSOP.

Requirements

  • Experience working with industrial chemicals and knowledge of proper waste disposal methods.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling PPE
  • Ability to accurately Log and Record Sanitation Activities.
  • Standing on a concrete floor.
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
  • Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Sanitation experience preferred.
  • Janitorial and Sanitation Knowledge a plus.
  • trained in chemical safety a plus but will train right individual

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning Production/Plant Equipment in Wash Down Rooms.
  • Identifying what equipment / electrical needs to be covered for protection.
  • Learning the Use and providing the proper color coded tools to do the job.
  • Report food safety and quality problems to authorized personnel who can act on.
  • Being able to perform hand cleaning areas / electrical and walls
  • Using equipment needed for detailed cleaning, taken apart and cleaned (especially in food contact areas) to prevent mold and bacterial build up.
  • Applying correct chemical dilution ratios, as instructed, to clean (trained in chemical safety a plus but will train right individual).
  • DOCUMENTATION – Will correctly fill out paper work where applicable.
  • Assuring all sanitation materials/tools/chemicals are taken out of area, put back in their proper place and or disposed of when area is completed.
  • Report to work on time. Overtime when necessary as well as weekend work. Covers for other Sanitation Tech’s in their absence.
  • Conduct regular sanitation duties, Custodial, office cleaning, and bathroom cleaning which will be provided by the Sanitation Department Lead on a daily basis.
  • Being able to operate a garbage compacter, cardboard bailer, and an electrical pallet jack.
  • Being able to segregate: recycle waste cardboard, plastic, and office paper.
  • Maintain the interior and exterior of the company free of garbage.
  • Perform general housekeeping on the common areas cafeteria, offices, locker rooms, main aisle, back aisle, and uniform area.
  • Training Required: Will receive whatever relevant training is needed to perform their daily tasks.
