About The Position

This role is part of the Global Foods R D organization located in Dallas, Texas. The primary responsibility is to perform sanitation activities onsite to ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory guidelines. As a Sanitor, you will execute sanitation tasks directly, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and production areas according to SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures). You will maintain sanitation supply inventory, ensure proper documentation of sanitation activities, and support audit readiness for AIB, FSSC22000, and FDA inspections. You will work closely with other team members to complete tasks safely and efficiently, with a focus on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Normal working hours for this role are 6:00 PM - 2:30 AM, with occasional flexibility based on operational needs.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment or in an R D testing center, with preference for the food industry.
  • Mechanical aptitude needed.
  • Demonstrated passion and attention to detail to accomplish daily tasks.
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks.
  • Flexible - willingness to work off-shifts and weekends.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated self-starter and can work with limited supervision (either self-identified tasks or assigned)
  • Basic Computer skills required

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitation tasks to maintain a clean and sanitary production facility in compliance with PepsiCo Food Safety and regulatory programs.
  • Execute daily cleaning activities according to established schedules and SSOPs (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures).
  • Prepare and organize sanitation supplies, chemicals, and equipment needed for each task.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling chemicals and consumables; monitor usage and report inventory needs.
  • Document all sanitation activities accurately and inspect work areas to ensure compliance and quality standards.
  • Complete swabbing programs (ATP, PCS, PEM) and record results as required.
  • Support internal food safety inspections by addressing identified issues promptly.
  • Assist in preparing the facility for audits (AIB, FSSC22000, FDA) and always maintain audit-ready conditions.
  • Collaborate with product development teams to provide input on sanitation requirements during new product or process trials.
  • Work effectively with team members to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Support production runs for Retail, Limited Time Offerings, and Trade Call products.
  • Adhere to all compliance programs and maintain required documentation for Safety, Sanitation, Food Safety, and Environmental standards.
