About The Position
At Gotham Greens, sanitation is not just about cleaning, it is about protecting our plants, our people, and the food we grow. We are looking for a motivated, detail-obsessed, and hands-on Sanitation Technician to join our Chicago greenhouse team. This role is essential to keeping our operation safe, compliant, and running smoothly. You will be responsible for the day-to-day sanitation of greenhouse areas and growing channels, working closely with the Plant Manager and operations team. If you take pride in doing things the right way, do not mind getting a little dirty, and want to be part of a team that grows food sustainably, this one has your name on it.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas throughout the entire greenhouse
- Sanitize growing channels and production areas according to established procedures
- Work efficiently and thoroughly using company-provided tools and cleaning materials
- Access tight and hard-to-reach spaces, including under growing lines and equipment
- Learn, follow, and consistently apply sanitation and food safety procedures
- Always work safely and follow all safety guidelines and protocols
- Wear required PPE at all times
- Identify opportunities to improve cleanliness, efficiency, and sanitation processes
- Support the broader greenhouse and packhouse operation as needed
