About The Position

Join Daily’s Premium Meats as a Sanitation Technician responsible for
nightly plant sanitation. This role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing packaging
equipment and surfaces, requiring physical stamina to work on concrete floors
and lifting up to 50 pounds. Candidates should be comfortable in a cold/wet
environment and able to perform manual labor. This position offers the
opportunity to work in a dynamic food production environment with a commitment
to diversity and inclusion. The shift hours are 10:30 pm to 7 am, with sunshine
pay available. The Oven-Cavity Sanitation Technician is specifically responsible
for cleaning in the ready-to-eat cooking area.

Requirements

• Candidates must be on the third shift sanitation.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos preferred.
• Ability to write simple correspondence preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and management.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations preferred.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form preferred.

Responsibilities

• Working in the Sanitation/Clean-up Department you are responsible for nightly sanitation of the entire plant.
• Primary focus being the cleaning and sanitizing of all packaging room machines, equipment and surfaces.
• This position requires limited ability to troubleshoot basic sanitation issues and repair/replace parts as needed.
• Position requires applicants to be physically capable of standing/walking 100% of the shift on concrete flooring.
• Must be able to bend/lift up to 25 lbs. with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• This position requires the ability to work in the oven cavity area, which will be humid, wet, and hot, with temperatures in excess of 85 degrees, performing hard, manual labor for an eight-hour shift.
• Ability to work at heights up to 9 ft. using ladders is required.
