About The Position

As a Sanitation Supervisor, you will be a key player in shaping a supportive and engaging work environment for the Cambridge, MD, plant, a manufacturer of high-quality aseptic products. Your role will directly impact the success of the site by overseeing all sanitation within the facility. This role ensures compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental regulations, while fostering a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associate’s degree or higher in food science, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a production or food manufacturing environment, with at least one to two years in a supervisory role is strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of food quality and safety regulations and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or higher in food science, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to sanitation workers, including assigning day to day tasks and ensuring targets and schedules are met.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality and sanitation protocols and company policies during all processes.
  • Conduct training and development programs for new hires and existing staff to maintain skill levels.
  • Monitor and evaluate worker performance and provide constructive feedback, including corrective actions as needed.
  • Oversee all cleaning and basic repair activities in compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor and accurately document sanitation activities.
  • Actively participate in Food Safety & Quality continuous improvement processes and serve as a subject matter expert in sanitation operations.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to conduct audits and improve and enhance food safety and sanitation standards.
