We build dynamic partnerships that allow our creativity to shine through our customers’ culinary vision — making “Food Matter.” SUMMARY OF POSITION Performs a variety of support tasks such as assisting Sanitation Supervisor with the assignment, scheduling, and organization of sanitation crews. Performs training as needed. Identifies and helps develop problem solving strategies in coordination with management. Receives general direction from Supervisor. Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
  • Minimum of two years experience in food manufacturing quality or related industry.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing an employee reference check, criminal background check, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of cleaning chemicals, sanitation equipment, and food safety standards (GMPs).
  • Leadership, attention to detail, and proficiency in documentation
  • Ability to operate personal computers and utilize applicable software.
  • Ability to work third shift and weekends, as required.
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and achieve effective time management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives.
  • Sense of urgency & ability to meet deadlines; self-directed

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs and the Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure the cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, production areas, and general welfare areas
  • Ensure superior sanitation of equipment and facility at all times.
  • Help with special cleaning projects and troubleshooting of any issue
  • Train Sanitation employees on proper cleaning techniques, safe efficient uses of sanitation products and equipment, and safe procedures.
  • Overseeing and development of other sanitation workers, and their completion of sanitation activities
  • Assist in training plant employees assigned to cleaning activities or who perform cleaning activities as part of their normal job duties on proper cleaning techniques and procedures including production employees as necessary
  • Maintain detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment and facility areas
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations as well as all food safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with completion of all sanitation related paperwork
  • Ensure and demand a high level of safety and environmental awareness.
  • Recommend measures for continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
