As a Sanitation Supervisor, your responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the preventative sanitation (MSS) program, including building facilities, program reviews, statistical analysis, schedule improvements, and evaluation of new equipment. Oversee all sanitation operations across three shifts, coordinating cleaning activities, addressing sanitation concerns, and ensuring machinery and plant areas are cleaned in alignment with production schedules. Monitor and analyze environmental and food-contact swab results with the Microbiologist, respond to trends, and ensure corrective actions for out-of-spec results. Drive continuous improvement by evaluating sanitation methods, processes, procedures, and collaborating with other Griffith plants to standardize cleaning practices. Support and participate in audits, including customer, regulatory, supplier, warehouse, and third-party audits; conduct GMP assessments and ensure documentation accuracy. Lead investigations into internal issues, customer complaints, audit findings, and sanitation-related deviations Manage sanitation resources and vendors, including chemical inventories and safe handling practices, generating RFPs, overseeing outside contractors, and maintaining facility grounds (roof, parking lot, fencing). Manage staffing responsibilities including hiring, onboarding, training development, performance management, safety training, accident investigations, and overtime management. Collaborate cross-functional with other departments, actively participating in GPS activities (Gemba, RCA, LSW, Tier, OKAMs, GPE), supporting capital project startups, and ensuring achievement of safety, quality, PM, sustainability, and budget goals. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years managing sanitation activities
  • Must successfully complete the Griffith Foods forklift and scissor lift certifications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or varied shifts

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years supervisory experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • A proven track record in sanitation systems, food safety/GMP compliance, and team leadership
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, RedZone, and Fiix (CMMS)
