Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively.
  • Knowledge and understanding of cleaning methods in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the sanitation team in safe working practices including chemical handling, PPE and OSHA requirements.
  • Understands the manufacturing process and equipment/parts design in order to ensure proper completion of equipment sanitation and efficient startups.
  • Problem solve with other departmental teams, with an open-mind and spirit of co-operation in a positive and professional manner.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for work of staff; will be required to lead by example.
  • Assists in the development, organization, and participation of staff in departmental training programs
  • Maintains records and daily logs.
  • Prepares periodic activity and reports for review.
  • Maintains and verifies completion of Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Accountability for departmental stock and inventory control.
  • Periodically inventories supply and requisitions and distributes supplies and equipment; places orders as required.
  • Inspects and evaluates cleanliness and physical condition of facilities and submits report to the Sanitation Manager of recommendations for corrective action.
  • Ensures supply rooms are stocked and maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Perform sanitation tasks on the floor as needed.
  • Flexible scheduling.
  • Available if needed 24/7 for business emergencies.
  • Flexible to perform any other duties deemed necessary by management.
