About The Position

The Sanitation Supervisor plays a key role in executing assigned Sanitation tasks. This includes ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance within our facilities.

Requirements

  • Associates in Business Administration or science related field preferred or equivalent related experience.
  • 2+years managing a Production/Quality function or related experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular sanitation audits, identify areas needing corrective actions, and collaborate with relevant personnel to implement necessary improvements.
  • Maintain and audit cleanliness across all processes, ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Monitor the Sanitation PM program for process equipment, adjusting schedules to align with quality goals and prudent costs.
  • Work closely with corporate sanitarians to ensure compliance with corporate sanitation requirements and regulatory statutes.
  • Proactively identify and solve potential or existing problems that might affect process operations, communicating effectively with plant leadership.
  • Manage sanitation chemical and equipment inventory and accurately record specified information on relevant documents.
  • Assign and oversee sanitation tasks for production, processing, and maintenance personnel, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and recommending adjustments or disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Continuously provide recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency and cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure that assigned areas comply with sanitation regulations and maintain a safe work environment, reporting any process or equipment issues promptly.
  • Promote excellent customer service within the sanitation operations, fostering a positive working environment.
  • Maintain an "open door" policy for all employees to facilitate open communication between direct reports and management staff.
  • Compliant with all legal requirements concerning dairy processing and safety on their assigned shift and reports concerning their supervisor/lead.
  • Works in a safe manner and reports safety concerns promptly to their supervisor/lead and takes corrective actions as necessary to ensure a safe environment.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety problems and initiating action and for supporting SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality.
  • Ensures work areas are sanitary and strictly adheres to sanitation practices.
  • Communicates effectively between shifts and other departments.
