About The Position

As the Sanitation Supervisor, you'll be responsible for all actions/responsibilities as described in company-controlled documentation for this position and to conduct business in compliance with the corporation's Code of Business Conduct. Additional duties will be to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with corporate policies and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college (Associate’s Degree) in a technical discipline or minimum 2 years related experience in sanitation supervision in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of food manufacturing equipment and quality control procedures used in a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to identify improvement opportunities in the sanitation process
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in order to lead sanitation employees to the completion of their assigned job duties
  • PC Skills including Word, Excel and Outlook, and other corporate software programs or comparable software
  • Have the ability to provide proper safety training and safety oversight for all sanitation employees
  • Ability to effectively communicate to employees in various positions and at all levels
  • Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demand
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Push/Pull up to 300 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce existing policies and procedures to directly support the maintenance, quality and production departments
  • Implement approved techniques for equipment cleaning, waste removal, and general environmental cleaning.
  • Provide or assist in the training of employees in established SSOPs
  • Select staff, coach performance, and provide ongoing and timely communication regarding performance, training, and developmental opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping to document work completed.
  • Respond to all sanitation requirements in a timely, effective, and professional manner.
  • Work with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Safety when introducing new cleaning chemicals to the facility.
  • Meet with service contractors, inspectors, or vendors as needed.
  • Participate in plant audit and inspection preparation
  • Perform others duties and responsibilities, as assigned
