About The Position

The Sanitation Operator will be responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility are clean, safe, and meet regulatory compliance for sanitation and hygiene standards. This role is critical to maintaining the health and safety of our operations, especially in food processing or manufacturing environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a sanitation, janitorial, or related role, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment and sanitation chemicals.
• Knowledge of safety and hygiene practices in industrial environments.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work in shifts (day, evening, or night) as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of equipment, machinery, and facility areas including production floors, restrooms, breakrooms, and offices.
• Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble machinery and equipment in accordance with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Operate cleaning equipment such as pressure washers, scrubbers, and sanitation chemicals.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA, FDA, USDA).
• Maintain sanitation logs and checklists, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Conduct routine inspections of sanitation conditions and equipment cleanliness.
• Report any maintenance or sanitation issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines and promote a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and minimize production downtime due to sanitation needs.
