About The Position

The Sanitation Lead is responsible for planning, controlling and directing the Sanitation Technicians on daily/weekly cleaning activities following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), FDA FSMA and Food Safety Plan requirements. You will add value by performing the following duties but not limited to:

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 or more years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment
• Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of FDA/USDA requirements helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assign daily cleaning assignments to Sanitation Technicians
• Lead and teach team on proper cleaning and sanitizing techniques
• Verify correct cleaning chemicals and tools are being used in accordance to SSOP
• Inspect line prior to releasing to Quality/Operations
• Support EMP technician in identifying root cause of sanitation deficiencies
• Record sanitation activities performed; daily/weekly/monthly cleaning requirements, chemical dilution, etc.
• Ensure teams compliance to plants SSOP, GMP, 5S and Food Safety Plan requirements
• Must be detailed oriented and able to work/lead independent of instruction
• Other duties as assigned
