5602 Sanitation Laborer (3rd Shift)

About The Position

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all food production areas(Main Plant and/or DC Plant) in compliance with Mt. Olive Pickle Co. food safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will maintain a clean environment to prevent contamination, uphold product quality, and meet company standards within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent(preferred); food safety or sanitation certification is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or industrial sanitation role preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize food production areas, including floors, walls, equipment, and machinery, in accordance with food safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of production lines, used in the manufacturing process.
  • Perform changeovers and other line cleaning, to ensure lines are back up running.
  • Perform task to ensure the MSS (Master Sanitation Schedule) is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with removing Trash, Glass and Cardboard boxes from the floor (Needs Forklift Authorization)
  • Assists with bailing cardboard and plastic.
  • Ensure the proper disposal of waste materials and keep waste areas clean and organized.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure tasks are completed promptly to avoid disruptions in production.
  • Utilize and handle cleaning chemicals and sanitizers safely, in compliance with company safety guidelines.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met before production resumes.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock is reordered as needed.
  • Report any maintenance or sanitation-related issues to the supervisor or management.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory standards, including USDA, FDA, and HACCP guidelines, ensuring all sanitation procedures are consistently followed.
  • Assist in audits and inspections related to sanitation practices and compliance.
  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on sanitation procedures and food safety standards
