About The Position

The Sanitation II role is responsible for advanced cleaning and sanitation of production equipment and facilities, including complex systems and machinery. This position requires a high level of technical knowledge, independence, and adherence to all food safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. The Sanitation II associate may also assist in training new sanitation team members and ensuring sanitation processes are performed efficiently and safely. Equipment & System Cleaning Independently disassemble, clean, and reassemble complex production equipment such as baggers, ovens, kettles, and spiral systems. Operate and clean CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, oil tanks, and piping systems safely and effectively. Use scissor lifts for cleaning elevated areas (e.g., overhead fans, walls, and EV units). Ensure all sanitation tasks meet or exceed company and regulatory standards for cleanliness and food safety. Facility Sanitation Wash and disinfect all plant areas including walls, floors, drains, and equipment surfaces. Maintain supply levels and cleanliness across assigned zones, including bathrooms and common areas. Support deep cleaning and shutdown sanitation activities. Compliance & Safety Apply advanced knowledge of chemical handling, mixing, and storage per SDS and GMP requirements. Report safety concerns, contamination risks, or maintenance issues promptly. Maintain accurate cleaning logs and verify sanitation completion checklists. Team & Leadership Assist the Sanitation Lead or Supervisor in coordinating daily sanitation tasks and verifying completion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certificate preferred
  • Ability to communicate and read labels in English (Bilingual preferred)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of sanitation or related food manufacturing experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex equipment disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety, GMP systems strongly preferred
  • This position works in a manufacturing facility and requires standing, bending, climbing or walking 80% of the time
  • Must frequently twist, bend, and stoop when performing work tasks.
  • Frequently carry or lift 25 pounds or more.
