About The Position
The Sanitation Helper is responsible for supporting overall plant cleanliness and recycling processes by safely handling recyclable materials, assisting production teams when needed, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring safe operations, efficient material flow, and compliance with facility sanitation standards.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must be available and able to work required overtime and weekends in addition to your normally scheduled work shift.
Responsibilities
- Recycle raw materials from packaging lines and empty recyclable material bins across the plant.
- Provide backup support for Material Supplier roles (L1–L4) during absences or vacations.
- Move paper and plastic sacks to the baler and operate baling equipment.
- Use the rotozip tool to cut cardboard sheets, create pallet covers and assist with sorting recyclable materials.
- Operate pallet jacks and forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision.
