About The Position

Performs general janitorial tasks in office, breakrooms, restrooms, warehouse, operations, and other building interior areas. Maintain exterior walkways and parking areas keeping them free of garbage or debris. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners and scrubbing/buffing machines. Dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings, vents and light fixtures. Refill GMP and safety supply containers throughout operations. Empty, clean and reline all garbage cans throughout the facility. May move cabinets, boxes, furniture, and equipment to clean areas. May remove stains from such surfaces as machines, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions. May be assigned duties as a packaging line operator on an as need basis. Specific tasks are clearly defined by work instructions and SOP for each operation in the job rotation. Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. SHIFT NIGHT : Sunday - Thursday, 10:00PM - 6:30AM Please note that this role could exceed 40 hours per week per business needs.

Requirements

  • A legal right to work in the United States
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to be at the physical location of the job at the designated shift assigned.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
  • High school degree preferred
  • 2-4 years experience of similar work
  • Must be organized
  • Ability to execute both independently and within a close-knit team environment
  • Ability to read and write & communicate in English, use basic math skills and basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to: inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require

Nice To Haves

  • Hand truck and/or Zamboni experience preferred
  • Experience with FDA/cGMP compliance is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain schedule of daily/weekly sanitization and cleaning
  • Perform and complete designated room cleans per standard operating procedures.
  • Facilitates the use of approved cleaning agents per established procedures
  • Maintain, sanitize and clean workspaces used by employees, not limited to but including: gowning area, lunchrooms, back hallways, stairways, restrooms, lab, and hand washing stations
  • Checks and corrects any conditions which are not conducive to a safe, clean workplace. Report any safety problems immediately.
  • Maintains clean and orderly work area including: cleaning machines, breakdown of machine, tools and area around workstation.
  • Recognizes out of control events, discontinues operations and continues operation only when out of control event has been remedied successfully.
  • Complete and verify documentation with accuracy as assigned
  • Will be asked to train someone and/or participate in a task force to improve company procedures or operations.
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve
