The Sanitation Coordinator The QA Sanitation Assistant Supervisor will assist the QA Sanitation Supervisor in developing, administering and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs that assure the production of high quality, safe products. Food Safety Role & Responsibility: As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Quality Statement, FSSC 22000/Global Food Safety Policy/Food Safety Goals, Visitor/Food/Site Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Blood borne Pathogens. Some additional items will include: Duties and Responsibilities: Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Compliance to SOP's, GMPs, Housekeeping, Safety, and all other FE policies. Ability to prioritize work assignments. Attention to detail and the ability to analyze and interpret data. Ability to achieve results in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Ensure that the Plant and grounds are in compliance with all Sanitation regulations required for food plants per the CFR, and internal and third party audit criteria. Using only Organic Approved chemicals to maintain our organic certification. Conducting Sanitation audits of the plant on a daily basis. Ensuring that all Sanitation Employees are trained in proper sanitation practices by reviewing and monitoring third party contractor records and/or procedures. Ensuring that proper documentation is prepared showing that Sanitation has been conducted in accordance with all required regulations. Observe and report 3rd shift employee performance. Performs cleaning tasks, oversees, trains and directs the facilities cleaning crew in maintaining the cleanliness of the food processing equipment, restrooms, offices, lobby, warehouses, main production facility and outside grounds in accordance to company standards. Complete required paperwork and documentation as directed by the Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager. Take daily inventory of chemicals, daily attendance and report down time from deficiencies during pre-op inspection to supervisor in a timely manner. Ensure chemicals are securely locked. Assure that only company approved sanitation supplies and tools are used. Work collaboratively with all other departments on a daily basis.
