As a Sandy River Smolt Monitoring Program Fisheries Technician (Biological Science Assistant) in Clackamas, Oregon, you will: Conduct daily trap checks at several rotary screw trap sites to enumerate and sample juvenile salmon and steelhead in the Sandy River basin Drive a State-issued vehicle to remote sampling sites near Zigzag, OR Follow protocols to record fish data Identify, measure, weigh, and mark juvenile salmon and steelhead. Inspect, maintain, and repair field sampling equipment and trap components This position requires a flexible work schedule that varies in the number of hours worked on a daily basis. Position will require work on weekends. Nice To Haves

• Experience maintaining and repairing field equipment
• Data entry experience
• Experience identifying and enumerating juvenile salmonids
• Experience operating rotary screw traps
• Anyone who has or is in pursuit of a Fisheries or Wildlife Science degree or related degree in biological/ecological sciences

Responsibilities
