About The Position

Under the direction of the Sample Management Lead your day will be filled with exciting tasks such as receiving samples, reviewing accompanying documentation, and ensuring proper storage conditions . You will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the samples and disposing of them after the designated time frame . Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist with local pickups, adding a touch of variety to your daily routine.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely, without restrictions or sponsorship
  • Impeccable attention to detail to ensure accuracy in sample handling and documentation
  • Strong communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong Data Entry and Computer Skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and enjoys problem solving
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs like Excel.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and willingness to travel for assisting with local sample pickups efficiently
  • Strong a ttention to detail and ability to think on feet

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience driving in a work setting is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and efficient system for tracking and processing of samples into Analytical Food Laboratories from check-in at the facility through disposal utilizing Laboratory Information Management System and other procedures and protocols in adherence to the standards of ISO/IEC 17025, NELAC, and all other accrediting/certifying agencies .
  • Assist with the preparation of storage studies.
  • Perform routine cleaning/sanitizing/disinfecting throughout laboratory.
  • Perform opening/closing of sample management department in accordance with Quality Management System.
  • Perform support duties to the Microbiology, Chemistry, and Vendor Compliance Departments, including but not limited to supply stocking, sample preparation, plate/ Petrifilm preparation, and paperwork management.
