The Shop Manager is responsible for the overall operations and performance of their assigned shop. This role leads the internal team culture and external client experience, upholds Drybar standards and policies, manages day-to-day business operations, and drives financial results. The Shop Manager sets the tone for the shop, ensuring team morale is strong, standards are upheld, and the Drybar brand is represented with excellence.

  • Tuesday–Saturday availability required (flexibility based on business needs)
  • Evenings, weekends, and variable hours required
  • Required to work peak holidays (Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve)
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in a salon, beauty, or retail environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Cosmetology license preferred but not required
  • Some college preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the entire shop team, modeling Drybar’s Heart & Soul values
  • Foster a positive, accountable, high-performance culture
  • Coach and develop Stylists, Bartenders, and other leadership team members
  • Identify and develop high-potential talent for future leadership roles (in partnership with other market leadership)
  • Address team member relations issues promptly and professionally
  • Promote a strong safety culture
  • Interview and select high-quality, culture-aligned candidates
  • Partner with the Shop Educator to ensure effective onboarding and training
  • Provide real-time coaching to maintain Drybar hair quality and guest experience standards
  • Set and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly budget goals
  • Maximize revenue opportunities while controlling expenses
  • Oversee inventory management and loss prevention
  • Maintain brand visual standards and shop cleanliness
  • Meet operational deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Champion outstanding customer service
  • Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and brand alignment
  • Ensure Drybar standards are consistently executed
  • Grow Drybar awareness within the local trade area
  • Develop relationships with nearby businesses and community partners
  • Support local marketing initiatives to accelerate business growth
