About The Position

HAVEN HAIR STUDIO is seeking a Salon Assistant who is eager to learn, grow, and eventually transition into an apprentice or stylist position. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position perfect for someone passionate about hair and eager to grow in the industry.

Requirements

• A motivated, team-oriented individual
• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment
• NYS Cosmetology License (or currently enrolled in beauty school)
• A love for learning and a passion for providing an amazing client experience

Responsibilities

• Greeting clients and ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for
• Shampooing, conditioning, and prepping clients for services
• Assisting stylists with color applications, treatments, and blowouts
• Keeping the salon clean and organized (laundry, sweeping, sanitizing, restocking, etc.)
• Booking and confirming appointments
• Supporting the front desk as needed
• Learning salon techniques and participating in ongoing education
