This position involves selling and leasing new and used vehicles while adhering to dealership standards for gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities include completing sales orders, processing paperwork, and utilizing dealership sales control and follow-up systems, including CRM. The salesperson is expected to participate in manufacturer and dealership training to maintain certification and stay current on industry products and services. The role requires maintaining owner and prospect follow-up systems to foster repeat and referral business, conducting business ethically, and satisfying customer transportation needs. Daily duties include greeting customers, assisting with vehicle selection, explaining product features and benefits, offering test drives, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The individual must comply with federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales, protect customer information, and set personal income goals. Collaboration with the Sales Manager and Finance Manager is essential, including turning over closed deals with proper paperwork. The salesperson is also responsible for preparing and delivering vehicles, explaining operating features and warranties, introducing customers to the service department, and following up on post-delivery items. Regular review and analysis of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly actions are required for effective time management and planning. Maintaining a target CSI score, a clean workspace, and a professional appearance are also expected, along with assisting in inventory maintenance tasks.
