About The Position

CGI is seeking a Mid Level Salesforce Developer/SME/Technical Architect to join our dynamic team! We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side while using emerging technologies. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Salesforce development team, assisting the team in delivering code, testing, deployment, and documentation efforts for various projects related to our client's Salesforce-based solutions. This position is located in our Fairfax, VA , Belton, TX, Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Lebanon, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Software Engineering, or related field; or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience
  • Must have strong understanding of the Salesforce platform and integrations; experience gathering requirements and feedback to architect, design, and lead best practice solutions development projects.
  • Experience road mapping new functionality to ensure long term success and increasing value proposition.
  • Technical expertise in implementing and developing in APEX, LWC, Visualforce, and Java solution within the salesforce platforms.
  • General web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Competency in other languages/development (for example, Apex, XML, Flex, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP and/or REST-based web services).
  • Experienced in developing, enhancing, and maintaining automated processes in and applications integrated with the Salesforce instances.
  • Experienced in deploying code in strict accordance with change management procedures.
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps tools, including content repositories, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in Salesforce (such as Salesforce Developer, Admin, Platform App Builder, Cloud Consultant etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use modern and emerging tools, techniques, and methods to develop, modify, or update applications and solutions used by business units.
  • Lead, or play lead technical role in development teams' efforts to determine unit needs and business processes that are automated by the applications and solutions.
  • Participate in all steps in the software development life cycle to create, modify validate and delivery the applications and solutions.
  • Develop within Salesforce platforms and demonstrate understanding of Salesforce data structures and how to implement them to fulfill complex process and reporting requirements.
  • Drive DevSecOps and CI/CD principles throughout Salesforce practice.
  • Contribute to multiple projects within Agile development methodologies and development best practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
  • Test the stability and functionality of the application, as well as troubleshoot and fix bugs.
  • Maintain certifications and current knowledge of Salesforce platform advancements and communicate trends and future needs from a business perspective.
  • Be active in evaluating and recommending new technologies to our DevSecOps and Salesforce Practice.
