About The Position

The Salesforce Solution Architect is accountable for the end-to-end architecture, build, and evolution of PRO-spectus Salesforce solutions with heavy emphasis on Health Cloud.  This role partners with business and technical stakeholders to translate outcomes into scalable architecture, and then leads delivery through a combination of hands-on configuration and development (Apex, LWC, Flow) and technical leadership across internal and partner teams. This is a builder’s role for an architect who can design the “right” solution and execute—driving reliable releases, secure integrations, clean data models, strong test coverage, and durable platform patterns that support patient access operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of PRO-spectus business processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years delivering Salesforce solutions in progressively senior technical roles (architect/lead developer/solution architect).
  • Proven hands-on expertise with:
  • Health Cloud development experience within a healthcare environment ideally focused inpatient services, life sciences or clinical settings
  • Workflow optimization using a variety of technical approaches
  • Integration experience
  • Architected integrations between Salesforce Health Cloud and telephony, data platforms, analytics and external vendors
  • DevOps and release management: CI/CD, SFDX, sandbox strategy, deployment automation
  • Strong command of Salesforce security and sharing architecture, data governance and compliance standards (HIPAA, PHI/PII).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders; translate business needs into durable technical solutions.
  • Agile/Scrum experience strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Required: Salesforce Administrator Certification (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).

Nice To Haves

  • Platform Developer I
  • Integration Architect
  • Application Architect
  • Data Architect / Sharing & Visibility Architect
  • Other relevant certifications (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Field Service, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Own Salesforce solution architecture across data model, automation, security, integration patterns, and UX.
  • Produce clear architecture artifacts: logical/physical data models, sequence diagrams, integration designs, and environment strategy.
  • Lead discovery with stakeholders to clarify requirements, constraints, and success metrics; translate to epics/stories and technical specs.
  • Configure and extend Salesforce using standard/custom objects, validation rules, Flow, approvals, sharing, and declarative automation.
  • Build and maintain custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and (as needed) Visualforce, following coding standards and performance best practices.
  • Establish patterns for reusable components, error handling, logging, and maintainability.
  • Design and deliver integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware (e.g., MuleSoft and comparable tools), ETL, and event-driven patterns.
  • Define data governance and data quality controls; lead imports/exports/migrations, reconciliation, and audit readiness.
  • Optimize performance for large data volumes and complex automation.
  • Own the platform security model: roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, org-wide defaults, and secure-by-design implementation.
  • Partner with security/compliance stakeholders on monitoring and controls (e.g., Shield if applicable), least privilege, and audit trails.
  • Lead technical delivery across sprint cycles: estimation, design reviews, build approach, and deployment readiness.
  • Define and run release practices including CI/CD, branching strategy, environment management (Dev/Sandbox/UAT/Prod), SFDX practices, and deployment automation.
  • Drive quality through test strategy: unit tests, regression automation, code coverage improvement, and performance testing.
  • Proactively reduce technical debt through refactoring plans, architectural simplification, and platform modernization.
  • Translate technical solutions into practical user outcomes; partner on change management, training, and adoption.
  • Produce and maintain documentation (solution design, runbooks, admin guides) and coach admins/devs on platform standards.
  • Stay current on Salesforce roadmap and recommend pragmatic enhancements to improve scalability, security, reliability, and user experience.
