Job Description We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Associate Salesforce Engineer who can provide technical leadership, guide engineering standards, and drive the evolution of our enterprise Salesforce ecosystem. This role requires an engineer who can balance hands-on development with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring, architectural decision making, and shaping best practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will influence technical direction, improve team performance, and deliver high-quality, scalable Salesforce solutions that support strategic business goals. Requirements

  • 4 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with at least 4 years in senior or lead engineering roles.
  • Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL and SOSL, Flow development, custom metadata, and platform automation.
  • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce data modeling, security models, and advanced integration patterns that include REST, SOAP, Platform Events, and asynchronous processing.
  • Proven experience leading development teams in Agile and Scrum environments with consistent participation in sprint planning, grooming, and technical ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive high-quality releases in fast-paced settings with strong ownership of deadlines and technical deliverables.
  • Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • 7 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience with at least 4 years in senior or lead engineering roles.
  • Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I and II, Application Architect, or System Architect are highly preferred.
  • 7 or more years of IT experience with a track record of leading enterprise-scale Salesforce programs and delivering complex technical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Collaboration Provide technical leadership across multiple Salesforce initiatives and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term technology strategy.
  • Mentor and guide developers at all levels, strengthening the team’s capabilities through training, design reviews, and coaching on best practices.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to define strategic roadmaps and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Champion engineering excellence by communicating and reinforcing coding standards, performance patterns, and secure development practices.
  • Take accountability for solution quality and reliability across projects while promoting a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Execution and Architecture Lead the design and development of complex Salesforce applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and platform APIs.
  • Architect reusable components and scalable integrations that support growing business needs.
  • Oversee and enhance CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and release management processes using tools such as GitLab and Salesforce DX.
  • Validate technical designs and code quality through in-depth reviews, ensuring solutions adhere to performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Manage and optimize production environments, addressing performance issues, data integrity concerns, and system behavior at both the component and platform level.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform releases and proactively introduce capabilities that advance the organization’s Salesforce maturity.
  • Organizational Impact Lead technical planning and estimation for large, multi-team initiatives.
  • Support the growth of the Salesforce practice by contributing to reusable patterns, engineering playbooks, and technical onboarding materials.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and promote automation that improves delivery speed and operational efficiency.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on Salesforce capabilities, helping business and technology partners understand constraints, risks, and solution tradeoffs.
  • Ensure solutions are designed with maintainability, scalability, and organizational longevity in mind.
