About The Position

Niyam is seeking a Salesforce Developer to join our team in support of our work with a federal client. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Salesforce solutions to support complex business processes and mission objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in Apex development, automation, and system administration, along with the ability to collaborate across teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality, secure, and efficient solutions. This full-time position will be hybrid to Ashburn, VA.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
  • Local to Ashburn, VA and available to work onsite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  • Active Salesforce Developer certification(s).
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, including customization and configuration capabilities.
  • Experience developing custom components and solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce best practices, architecture, and standard functionality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level Salesforce implementations in a federal or regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices within Salesforce ecosystems.
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations and middleware solutions.
  • Familiarity with advanced data management and migration strategies.
  • Ability to contribute to governance frameworks and scalable development standards.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Familiarity with packaging strategies such as Unlocked Packages.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain custom solutions using Apex, including triggers and classes.
  • Design and automate complex business processes using Salesforce Flow Builder.
  • Create and execute test classes to ensure a minimum of 75% code coverage.
  • Perform CI/CD activities to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Debug and enhance existing codebases, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement resolutions.
  • Serve as the primary system administrator for the enterprise Salesforce.com environment.
  • Manage data operations using Salesforce Data Loader and oversee data integrity.
  • Maintain and support Salesforce integrations and external data feeds.
  • Coordinate evaluation, scoping, and execution of new development requests.
  • Collaborate with leadership to establish and improve development, governance, and change management processes.
  • Support user training efforts and promote adoption of Salesforce capabilities across the organization.
