About The Position

We’re seeking a motivated and certified Salesforce Business Analyst to join our team supporting a variety of public sector initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with clients and internal delivery teams to elicit business requirements, document current and future-state processes, develop user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensure Salesforce solutions align with mission, policy, and operational needs. The Salesforce Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between stakeholders and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Requirements

  • This position requires an active Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance to be considered.
  • A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3–5 years of Salesforce Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or Consultant experience; minimum 7 years of overall professional experience.
  • Experience supporting Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and delivery in public sector or mission-driven environments.
  • Strong business analysis skillset, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience working within Agile or hybrid Agile delivery teams.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional requirements without owning hands-on configuration or development.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce platform capabilities and cloud offerings to effectively guide solution discussions (hands-on configuration not required).
  • Experience supporting multi-stakeholder programs with diverse user groups.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator or relevant Salesforce certification preferred.
  • Additional certifications preferred: Business Analyst, Agile, or Salesforce Consultant-level certifications.
  • Commitment to maintaining Salesforce certifications; willing to assign certifications to Cherokee Federal and pursue additional credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end Salesforce delivery efforts across Public Sector Solutions (PSS), Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Education Cloud and Nonprofit Cloud from a business analysis and requirements perspective.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders; build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor throughout discovery and delivery.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions, interviews, and stakeholder workshops to gather business, functional, and reporting requirements.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, and use cases.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements aligned with Agile delivery practices.
  • Partner closely with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and Architects to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions align with stakeholder expectations.
  • Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and ongoing prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners and project leadership.
  • Validate requirements and designs through walkthroughs, prototypes, and iterative stakeholder feedback.
  • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test scenario development, execution support, defect triage, and sign-off.
  • Ensure solutions align with public sector governance, compliance, security, and data standards.
  • Assist with change management activities, including documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
