Position Summary The Salesforce Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-level Salesforce solutions that support scalable, reliable, and high-performing business operations. This role blends strategic architecture leadership with hands-on technical design, ensuring the Salesforce ecosystem aligns with business goals, integrates seamlessly with adjacent platforms, and adheres to best practices for security, data management, and system optimization.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including architecture, development, and solution design.
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect required; CTA preferred.
  • Deep expertise with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, SOQL, LWC, and Flow orchestration.
  • Strong experience with enterprise integration frameworks and middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of security models, OAuth, SSO, and identity management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing data models and complex automation logic.
  • Proven ability to lead technical design, influence architecture strategy, and communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, finance, or government).
  • Familiarity with DevOps tooling (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Git-based CI/CD).
  • Experience with multi-org strategy, org consolidation, and large-scale Salesforce transformations.
  • Strong understanding of AI/ML capabilities within Salesforce (Einstein, generative AI tools).
  • Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture concepts

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture design for Salesforce implementations, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom applications.
  • Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions using best-practice architectural patterns.
  • Develop and maintain the Salesforce architecture blueprint, including system integrations, data flows, security model, and governance processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, apps, and platform capabilities to enhance the Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Drive the design of scalable automation solutions (Flows, Apex, APIs) and ensure optimal use of declarative vs. programmatic approaches.
  • Architect and optimize integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, Data Warehouse, Marketing Automation).
  • Guide API strategies including REST, SOAP, and streaming integrations.
  • Lead data modeling, data quality strategy, and data governance best practices.
  • Oversee data migration design and execution for new deployments, org consolidations, or major system updates.
  • Act as a technical advisor to executives, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define and enforce development standards, coding best practices, and change-management processes.
  • Lead technical design reviews and oversee solution delivery across internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Analysts.
  • Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate policies.
  • Lead solution architecture discussions during discovery, design, and sprint planning.
  • Review and approve detailed technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and deployment plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across clouds, integrations, and automation layers.
  • Support release cycles, including code promotions, performance testing, and system readiness checks.
