About The Position

The Salesforce Architect / Developer will join a small team and work directly with executives and users to manage and enhance a Salesforce environment. They will serve as the primary administrator and developer of our Salesforce Health Cloud ecosystem. They will be responsible for inheriting a complex environment from an external vendor, establishing internal governance, and scaling our platform. Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience in a dual Admin/Developer capacity.
  • Direct experience managing or implementing Salesforce Health Cloud is mandatory given the clinical nature of our work.
  • A track record of "inheriting" messy or undocumented environments and bringing them up to industry standards.

  • Ability to develop Apex classes and triggers for complex backend logic and build Lightning Web Components (LWC) to create custom, high-performance user interfaces that exceed standard Flow capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases and experience integrating Salesforce with external data sources (Heroku, AWS, or SQL databases).
  • Expertise in HIPAA-compliant data management and Salesforce Shield (Event Monitoring, Platform Encryption).
  • Experience with Data Loader and ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Zapier, or OwnBackup) for complex data migrations.

Responsibilities

  • Successfully offboard external vendors by auditing existing configurations, creating comprehensive technical documentation, and establishing best practices for future development.
  • Maintain and optimize a library of complex Screen Flows and Autolaunched Flows that drive our clinical and operational workflows.
  • Manage Health Cloud-specific features, including Patient Accounts, Care Plans, Life Events, and Clinical Data Models, ensuring all configurations meet HIPAA compliance standards.
  • Design and implement strategies to connect Salesforce with external clinical databases and third-party APIs.
  • Lead the strategy for incorporating LLMs (external APIs) to assist with note summarization, predictive analytics, or automated patient communication.
  • Work directly with leadership to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
