About The Position

This is not an entry-level retail job or a repair-only position. We're hiring Sales Technicians who take ownership of the customer experience, enjoy consultative selling, and want to grow into leadership over time. This position is a customer-facing sales role . Sales Technicians own the customer experience from start to finish - identifying needs, recommending products and services, setting up repairs, and completing the sale. Dedicated Repair Technicians perform the majority of device repairs and installations. While Sales Technicians are trained to understand our services and support basic functions, this role is not intended for candidates seeking a repair-only or technician-primary position . Batteries Plus is the nation's leading provider of battery, lighting, and power solutions, with over 700 locations nationwide. We serve both retail and commercial customers and have expanded into key cutting and programming, phone and tablet repair, and lighting solutions. We are locally owned and operated , with multiple stores across South Central PA and Northern MD. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years or older
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule including weekends
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working with small components
  • Strong communication skills and basic math proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Retail or B2C sales experience
  • Automotive, electronics, or technical service exposure
  • Leadership potential or interest in future management roles
  • Backgrounds in hospitality, serving, or customer-facing sales environments

Responsibilities

  • Engage customers, ask smart questions, and recommend the right products and services
  • Drive sales through solutions-based selling - not transactions
  • Create quotes, close sales, and contribute to daily and monthly store goals
  • Promote value-added services such as key programming, device repair, specialty batteries, and lighting solutions
  • Build trust and long-term customer relationships through expertise and follow-through
  • Support service sales by explaining battery, key, and device repair options to customers
  • Partner with dedicated Repair Technicians to ensure services are completed accurately and on time
  • Perform basic battery testing and installation as trained
  • Ensure a smooth handoff between sales and repair teams
  • Assist with inventory, merchandising, and store organization
  • Follow operational standards, safety procedures, and service processes
  • Contribute to a clean, professional, customer-ready store environment
