About The Position

Moss Roofing is a trusted, family-owned roofing and exterior company proudly serving Central Indiana for over 30 years. Our reputation is built on honesty, integrity, and quality workmanship. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Sales Team Manager to lead, motivate, and develop our residential sales team. The Sales Team Manager is responsible for leading our door-to-door sales representatives, driving revenue, and building a high-performing sales culture. This role is hands-on and leadership-focused, ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys coaching others, and understands the roofing and insurance restoration process.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in roofing, insurance restoration, or exterior home improvement sales
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a sales environment (team lead or manager preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of residential roofing systems and insurance claims
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and motivational skills
  • Comfortable using CRMs and tracking sales performance
  • Organized, dependable, and goal-driven
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily morning sales meetings and assign territories based on storm maps and targeted neighborhoods
  • Develop and execute daily canvassing and sales strategies
  • Track team performance and hold reps accountable to activity and results
  • Recruit, hire, train, and onboard new sales representatives
  • Train and coach reps on: Insurance claims process and reading insurance scopes
  • Sales strategies, objection handling, closing techniques, and follow-up
  • Retail and out-of-pocket sales, including assisting with estimates
  • Conduct regular role-playing sessions and one-on-one coaching
  • Support reps in lead generation and building their personal book of business
  • Help establish and maintain relationships with realtors, insurance agents, and referral partners
  • Provide daily leadership, mentorship, and support to the sales team
