About The Position

Analyze sales/use tax source documents and prepare sales/use tax return calculations and related journal entries for review by the onshore Sales Tax Team members as well as adhering to and updating a monthly tax calendar to ensure all sales taxes are remitted timely.

Requirements

• Sales tax experience is a plus if Staff and a must if Senior.
• Must be computer literate in Word and an advanced Excel user.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize detailed information.
• Proficient at problem solving and data analysis.
• Strong time management skills.

• Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with PDI and Vertex or Avalara a plus.

Responsibilities

• Calculation of the monthly sales/use and related tax returns.
• Trouble shoot with team on a daily basis.
• Maintain tax records and related schedules associated with the Multi-State/County/City sales/use tax returns.
• Gather and analyze ERP system (PDI) sales data.
• Assist with research on any State and Local tax notices on a timely basis.
• Assist with reconciling tax discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain accounting controls by following SOX procedures and maintain financial security by following internal controls.
