The Sales Support Consultant facilitates the quoting of heavy equipment for the sales force, ensuring profitable deals and managing competitive analysis programs and machine trade processes.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales and with Heavy Equipment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• Must be able to comprehend, speak, and write the English language.
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the quoting of heavy equipment.
• Creates new equipment sale quotes via iQuote for sales force.
• Develops and maintains all iQuote standard configuration templates.
• Works with sales force and supervisor to ensure machine configurations best position the dealership to profitably win a higher percentage of deals.
• Acts as dealer champion for Caterpillar competitive analysis programs, including VET & Turbo.
• Creates production reports to enhance sales force customer presentations.
• Submits all special price requests (SPARs) to Caterpillar.
• Performs all aspects of the new machine dealer trade process, including the procurement of equipment and the processing of machines traded to other dealers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
