About The Position

The Sales Support Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the Commercial Sales team and delivering a positive experience for our customers. This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative and operational tasks, including new customer account setup, request intake and triage, and coordination across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑based environment. This role will also serve as occasional backup support for the Receptionist and Mail Clerk functions as needed.

  • 3–5 years of administrative or receptionist experience
  • Strong data entry and typing skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Salesforce Inquiry Case queue, including:
  • New customer account setup
  • ERP account migrations
  • Customer account updates
  • Completion of approximately 1–10 accounts per day
  • Triage department email inboxes, ensuring all messages are reviewed and delegated within 24 hours
  • Refer complex or escalated inquiries to the appropriate individuals or teams
  • Verify and authorize customer credit limits up to $5,000; partner with the Finance team for higher‑level approvals
  • Support distributor onboarding and maintain e‑commerce customer accounts
  • Coordinate completion of customer and vendor forms and questionnaires, working closely with Legal, Finance, and Quality teams
  • Provide backup support for the Receptionist and Mail Clerk as needed
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure timely and accurate processing of customer requests
