We are seeking a Sales Specialist to serve as the primary sales interface for customers and prospects across the East regions of the United States. Reporting to the leader of our Advanced Technology Group, this role will partner closely with Proofpoint’s sales teams and directly engage customers to drive growth in the Advanced Technology portfolio, including solutions like Email Fraud Defense, Secure Email Relay, Adaptive Email DLP, and emerging products. This is a quota-carrying role in one of the company’s highest-growth segments. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, results-driven, and eager to contribute to the continued success of Proofpoint in this strategic region.

Requirements

  • Proven success in developing and executing territory growth plans, forecasting, and maintaining CRM discipline.
  • Strong background in demand generation, customer engagement, and driving financial growth in enterprise markets.
  • Experience working with channel partners and indirect sales strategies to achieve scale.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to align cross-functional teams and build meaningful customer relationships.
  • Background in selling advanced technological and security solutions in enterprise markets.
  • Willingness to travel within the East and Southern US regions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a long-term strategy to grow the East US territory, aligning resources to achieve short- and long-term goals.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, channel partners, and internal sales resources to implement the strategy and drive results.
  • Financial Oversight: Deliver accurate financial forecasting and performance updates, ensuring alignment with revenue targets.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with existing customers to meet business and technical goals, while also driving demand generation and customer acquisition in the region.
  • Channel Engagement: Drive scale and growth through effective engagement with channel partners and indirect sales motions.
  • Cultural Contribution: Foster a team culture of accountability, collaboration, and positivity.
