The Collaboration Technology Specialist provides support for video teleconferencing (Cisco VTC endpoints), A/V services (audio and web-based conferencing), collaboration technology (Webex, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom), and Microsoft Teams Voice throughout the firm. Ensure collaboration technology at the desktop, mobile devices and conference room equipment remain operational for end users throughout daily use. Responsible for daily Service now tickets related to the Collaboration Team. This hybrid position is located at our Seattle office and requires travel to other Ballard offices when needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of A/V and collaboration technology-related experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience working with Microsoft Teams, Webex, and Zoom cloud technology.
  • Knowledge of conference room scheduling systems (EMS).
  • Ability to travel to the firm’s various offices for support, installation, training and maintenance services.
  • Able to multitask without loss of efficiency or accuracy.
  • Demonstrated technology skills including software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a law firm or legal environment preferred.
  • Cross-training on desktop application support.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor and provide ongoing support for desktop and mobile device A/V, video recording and video conferencing services using Cisco , Microsoft Teams and Zoom cloud-based services.
  • Support on-site multicast webcasting/content streaming on internal and external networks.
  • Coordinate A/V logistics and set up audio visual equipment in support of scheduled events.
  • Troubleshoot video teleconferencing (VTC) endpoints and solve issues regarding conference room audio and video equipment.
  • Track A/V and VTC service requests via the firm’s Service Now tracking and support system.
  • Resolve, document and follow up on all conference room technology outages and incidents and reports and provide status for all incidents related to the firm’s Teams, Webex and Zoom hosted solutions.
  • Maintain and track inventory of A/V and video services equipment across all offices.
  • Perform quarterly preventive maintenance on VTC systems and identify any equipment in need of corrective repairs working with the Senior Collaboration Technology Specialist.
