About The Position

The Collaboration Technology Technician is responsible for providing courteous and timely audio visual and video production services to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Job Responsibilities: Create, update, and close support tickets; ensure timely response and resolution. Act as the first responder for A/V issues, including operating systems, projection, audio, and software configurations. Troubleshoot and resolve most issues independently, escalating unresolved cases with thorough documentation. Deliver reliable and timely A/V services for campus events, ensuring the satisfaction of event sponsors and participants. Assist with inventory, maintenance, and organization of A/V equipment, including loaner equipment, new installations, and storage areas. Performing routine preventative maintenance. Work with AV Engineering and leadership groups to assess, prioritize, and address outages, change actions, and special requests. Greet clients before event and provide clear instructions on how to operate equipment. Provide continued communication with client to ensure success of all events. Operate audio visual equipment including projectors, cameras, video switchers, audio mixers, computers, and wireless microphones. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience providing support around IT systems (e.g. operating systems; setup and configuration of computers and printers in a networked environment; maintenance of hardware components and computer peripherals) preferred
  • Knowledge of Video Conference & AV equipment, Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams operations, with Cisco infrastructure experience being a plus.
  • Knowledge of conferencing and collaboration ecosystems (room systems, peripherals, and control) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of audio and video components, signal types, cables preferred.
  • Proficiency in programs as PowerPoint, One Drive, and Outlook preferred.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or overtime in support of campus events preferred.
  • Ability to assemble and set up a variety of A/V equipment as needed.
