About The Position

We're looking for a results-driven Electrical Sales Representative to join our team. If you know how to build relationships, close deals, and understand the value of our work—this role is for you. You'll be responsible for selling electrical services to residential and commercial clients, estimating jobs accurately, and closing them at profitable rates. This isn't order-taking. This is consultative selling—understanding what customers need, communicating the value of quality electrical work, and negotiating contracts that work for everyone but protect our margins.

Requirements

  • Sales-driven mentality with a track record of closing deals
  • Strong communication skills—you can explain technical concepts in a way customers understand
  • Electrically-minded or willing to learn electrical work, systems, and best practices
  • Profit-conscious—you understand margins and don't just chase volume
  • Self-motivated and organized; able to manage your own pipeline and follow up
  • Professional presence; you represent us well in front of customers
  • Comfortable with technology (CRM systems, estimating software, phone/email workflows)
  • Willing to travel to job sites for estimates and consultations
  • 5-8+ years of residential electrician experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background check and drug screening
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to communicate effectively to clients about issues and provide accurate solutions
  • Must have local and state licenses as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior electrical service or contracting experience
  • Experience in trades sales or service sales
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards
  • Experience with estimating software or CRM platforms
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets

Responsibilities

  • Estimate electrical jobs accurately and professionally, understanding scope, materials, and labor requirements
  • Present estimates confidently to customers, explaining value and justifying pricing
  • Close jobs at profitable rates—not just the lowest bid
  • Build relationships with residential and commercial clients to generate repeat business and referrals
  • Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact through contract signing
  • Work with our team to ensure estimates align with operational capacity and profitability
  • Identify upsell opportunities (upgrades, additional services, value-adds)
  • Track sales metrics and report on pipeline activity
