About The Position

As a Sales Representative at Sierra Forest Products, you will have the opportunity to grow your skill set while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful impact, improving operational efficiency, collaborating closely with warehouse teams, and solving customer challenges. You will receive hands‑on training and practical experience across key areas, including product knowledge, supply chain and operations, account management, industry best practices, and core business operations. This role prepares you to support both new and existing customers while effectively partnering with the outside sales team. Over time, you will also develop and manage your own portfolio of accounts, building a strong foundation for a successful sales career.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify growth opportunities within an assigned territory, generating and qualifying new leads.
  • Engage with a mix of existing and prospective accounts to build strong relationships and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Leverage comprehensive company‑provided product and sales training to become a product expert, assess customer needs and challenges, and develop effective, value‑driven solutions.
  • Achieve established sales targets and performance goals while driving profitable results.
  • Promote Sierra Forest Products’ brand, offerings, and presence throughout the assigned geographic territory.
  • Stay current on product offerings, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Deliver presentations to prospective clients highlighting available products, services, and solutions.
  • Understand and effectively communicate company programs and initiatives.
  • Visit customers and prospects to assess needs, recommend products, and promote services.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding pricing, credit terms, product availability, and order status.
  • Maintain accurate records and enter activity into Salesforce, including call reports, call plans, and quotes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
