Jacobs Gas is a rapidly growing company seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth through strategic outreach and relationship-building with industrial and commercial propane users in the Ft. Myers region. This role will target high-volume propane sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, construction, landscaping, and fleet fueling. The Sales Representative will also be responsible for promoting and selling Kohler standby power generation solutions to large residential and small to mid-size commercial clients. Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial, proactive, and possess strong communication and sales skills. You will support sales growth for our Fort Myers location by identifying and engaging new business opportunities while strengthening ties with existing clients and key industry sectors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in business or a related field preferred
  • Propane and/or fuel industry experience required
  • 2–3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial or commercial sectors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Independent, assertive, and highly motivated
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and build strategic client relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with power generation equipment or capital equipment sales is a strong plus
  • CRM software experience preferred
  • Bilingual skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute sales strategies targeting industrial and commercial propane users
  • Identify high-volume usage sectors in SW Florida region such as agriculture, construction, logistics, fleet fueling, and industrial operations
  • Promote Kohler standby generators to residential estates and small to mid-size commercial properties
  • Develop project scopes and proposals tailored to client-specific needs and applications
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and project parameters with new and existing customers
  • Coordinate sold projects with operations and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery and setup
  • Relationship Management: Build and manage long-term relationships with high-value clients and industry partners
  • Cultivate distributor and manufacturer relationships, especially for standby power solutions
  • Deliver high levels of customer service by coordinating internal resources to resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach with all clients and stakeholders
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with operations to support customer onboarding and satisfaction
  • Work closely with leadership to meet sales targets and expand Jacob’s Gas market footprint
  • Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads
  • Other Duties: Meet or exceed performance goals and KPIs established by the Director and VP of Sales
  • All other duties as assigned
