About The Position

Noisy Creek, the parent company of The Stranger, Portland Mercury, Chicago Reader, EverOut, and Bold Type Tickets, is seeking a Sales Representative for the Chicago Reader. This role is responsible for growing advertising partnerships across print, digital, and live events. The position focuses on building and expanding relationships with Chicago-area businesses and agencies, prospecting new clients, managing existing accounts, and connecting brands with the Chicago Reader’s deeply engaged audience. This is a strong fit for candidates who thrive on building relationships, closing business, and being part of one of Chicago’s most iconic media brands.

Requirements

• Must have sales or similar/transferable experience
• Knowledge of media/advertising products, including print and digital
• Working knowledge and experience utilizing a CRM (MediaOS preferred), Broadstreet, Slack, and Google Suite products to manage day-to-day activities
• Effective relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated success in meeting revenue goals
• Excellent analytical, written, oral, communication, and presentation skills
• The ability to multitask with strong time and project management skills
