About The Position

Are you a closer with a passion for manufacturing sales? Phillips Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to drive sales growth and execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives. In this role, you will serve as a key contributor to revenue generation – partnering closely with outside sales, developing new business opportunities, and delivering exceptional customer experiences from lead to delivery. This role focuses on selling drywall-related products – including steel framing, beads, trim, and accessories – directly to building material distributors. This team member will be responsible for developing relationships with distributors. The ideal candidate will have a contractor sales background or experience as a contractor with sales expertise.   • BSBA in Business/Marketing preferred but not required; equivalent field and industry experience accepted.
  • 1–3 years of proven success in high-volume sales, ideally within the drywall, construction , roofing , building products industry or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience working with general supply distributors (GSDs), or material supply houses strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous work in contractor sales or as a drywall contractor a strong asset
  • Roofing sales experience in the Greater Omaha area a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Revenue: Prospect, qualify, and close sales opportunities to meet or exceed targets, bringing urgency and focus to achieving results.
  • Partner with Outside Sales: Collaborate closely to support field efforts, follow up on leads, and convert opportunities into sales.
  • Manage Account Growth: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and dealers while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Own the Order Cycle: Accurately process orders (sizes, grades, lengths, coatings) and maintain pricing integrity.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Partner with Production and Transportation to optimize shipments, build truckloads, and ensure timely delivery updates.
  • Customer Support: Resolve customer concerns confidently, handle challenges professionally, and assist with collections when needed.
  • Problem Solving & Influence: Use data, logic, and research information to resolve issues, influence decisions, and create innovative solutions to complex challenges.
