About The Position

This position reports to the Executive Director of Food Sales Operations and collaborates closely with the Regional Food Sales team. The successful candidate will complete internal training and contribute to sales growth within assigned markets, with a primary focus on supporting private label distribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business, Marketing, or a related field; or a minimum of 5 years of experience in foodservice or comparable sales role.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in a professional setting.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships and apply consultative selling techniques.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and virtual presentation platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and conduct market analysis.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential customers within assigned regions to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Lead and manage brokerage teams within the market to enhance J.T.M. brand presence and ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
  • Conduct effective product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers and key partners.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation through closing.
  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe Certification to support customer credibility and industry compliance.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge, including: Nutritional data Production processes Product features and benefits Competitive differentiation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the Marketing and Culinary teams to align sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and leverage insights to develop sales forecasts and strategies to achieve KPIs.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics.
  • Effectively utilize QlikSense, J.T.M. CRM, Salesforce, and other tools to manage and track sales activities.
  • Independently manage projects while traveling 25–75% of the time to support market sales efforts.
  • Oversee sample coordination, including submission and tracking, and ensure timely communication with all relevant parties.
  • Partner with the Marketing Team to support design and implement customer-specific game plans and promotional activities.
  • Communicate progress, outcomes, and success metrics of marketing initiatives to key personnel.
  • Strengthen the effectiveness of promotional efforts and increase customer engagement through data-driven insights.
  • Look for ways to increase sales by learning what customers are buying and suggesting other J.T.M. products that could be a good fit.
  • Participate actively in internal sales meetings and calls to capture and communicate key wins, losses to Sales Team including communicating to the team what’s working, what’s not, and what the competition is doing.
  • Work toward the long-term goal of developing and executing sales strategies that consistently meet or exceed targets.
